This year may finally be the year that the Buffalo Bills can topple the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC.

Buffalo almost certainly has the better roster than the Chiefs, but they'll still have to outperform Kansas City in the biggest moments in the playoffs.

Bills head coach Sean McDermott was asked on Tuesday what his biggest goal was for this season, and he gave quite the fiery response.

"Just overall changing the narrative on Buffalo, that is honestly probably the number one thing for me," McDermott told reporters via a video on X from Buffalo sports director Josh Reed. "It bothers me, it honestly pisses me off because people don't know this town, they don't know how hard that is to get to four straight Super Bowls, it'll never happen again."

Four of the Bills' last five playoff losses coming against the Chiefs certainly hasn't helped the lasting narrative of Buffalo. The narrative of never being able to win the big game in the playoffs will only continue to grow until McDermott and Co. can lead their team over the postseason hump.

This year is certainly shaping up to be the year that it'll happen, as the Bills are widely regarded as not only the best team in the AFC East, but maybe the best in the AFC as a whole. The reigning MVP Josh Allen has his sights set on winning that big game in the postseason, but he'll first have to work through the regular season to get there.

Buffalo comes right out of the gate with a tough matchup against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1. The Ravens dismantled the Bills 35-10 in Week 4 last season, but Buffalo ultimately got its revenge with a 27-25 win in the postseason.

Week 1 will tell us a lot about both teams, but a convincing win for the Bills could truly cement them as the team to beat in the AFC.
