The Cincinnati Bengals can't seem to catch a break in the 2025 NFL season. While the team awaits the return of Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase is now questionable to suit up in Week 6.

Per reporter Ben Baby, Chase is questionable due to an illness. Head coach Zac Taylor confirmed his missed practice, but the illness was not disclosed. Chase was also reportedly able to make it through the walk-through portion of practice.
Getting an illness is not an indication that Chase won't make the Bengals Week 6 showdown, but the severity of the illness is something to monitor.
Being hit with a questionable status is also concerning heading into the weekend. The Bengals will likely wait to see how the superstar receiver feels on Saturday to determine if he will be able to take the field against the Green Bay Packers.

Losing Chase would be tough to deal with, even more so since Sunday will serve as the season debut for Joe Flacco. Flacco was traded to the Bengals from the Cleveland Browns amid the deep struggles of Jake Browning.
Browning led the Bengals to a Week 2 win, but the team has dropped three straight losses since. Browning has struggled with turning the ball over, and currently has eight interceptions through four games.
With the Bengals having a 2-3 record and facing a reality where they may lose out on the postseason for the fourth straight season, the team chose to bring in Flacco to attempt to right the ship while Burrow recovers.
Flacco could shine in his Bengals debut, but he may have to do so without the help of the team's biggest star.
Chase has 374 yards and three touchdowns through five games thus far. Hopefully, he can suit up on Sunday and can link up plenty with Flacco.
