Another Philadelphia Eagles practice will go in the books without AJ Brown getting involved.

The star wide receiver has not been on the field, as he nurses a hamstring injury. Ahead of Monday's session, Brown was once again reportedly sidelined.

Brown is still around the team as they prepare for the third week of the NFL preseason. Although he can't suit up and participate, Brown is still helping out and getting involved in any way he can.

On Monday, Brown was spotted assisting in drills, acting as a quarterback. According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, the Eagles are taking their time "to make sure he doesn't suffer any setbacks."

It seems Brown's injury is nothing to be overly concerned about, but hamstring-related setbacks are always something to keep an eye on. Fortunately, the Eagles don't have any meaningful football coming up this week.

The likelihood of Brown getting preseason reps was already slim. The veteran wideout is more than proven in the NFL, and he needs all the rest he can get after a long season.

Being that the Eagles were one of the two final teams standing this past year, the extended rest is necessary for the team's key contributors, such as Brown, DeVonta Smith, Saquon Barkley, Jalen Hurts, and many more.

Being in the NFL since 2019, Brown has dominated at his position. As a rookie with the Tennessee Titans, Brown pasted 1,051 yards and eight touchdowns during first year in the NFL.

During the 2020 season, he followed up with 70 catches for 1,075 yards and 11 touchdowns in 14 games. His final run with the Titans could be considered a down year. Playing in just 13 games, Brown caught 63 passes for 869 yards and five touchdowns. His dip in value convinced the Titans to trade him to Philadelphia.

The Eagles benefited big time from the Titans' decision to move away from Brown. When Philadelphia acquired the former second-round pick, Brown dominated with 1,496 yards and 11 touchdowns in 17 games. Over the next two seasons, he exceeded 1,000 yards. Last year, Brown contributed to 1,079 yards and seven touchdowns in just 13 games.

He also produced 163 yards and two touchdowns during the team's postseason run, which resulted in a Super Bowl LIX victory.
