Texas will play Missouri in one of many marquee matchups on Saturday's stacked college football slate. Two ESPN personalities raised alarms for the Longhorns entering the pivotal SEC contest.

SEC Network host Peter Burns emphatically picked a Tigers victory on Friday's SEC This Morning. He feels a Missouri offense led by Austin Simmons is superior to Arch Manning and Co.

"Missouri is winning this ballgame," Burns declared. "... I love the Missouri Tigers in this. Better quarterback. Better wide receiver corps. Better running back. I think they're more physical, and this is a team that hasn't lost at Faurot Field in just coming up on a year. And this is a Texas team that is banged the [expletive] up. They are not healthy."

No. 7 Texas is a narrow road favorite, and ESPN's Matchup Predictor gives the Longhorns a 70.8% win probability. However, Josh Pate doesn't see No. 18 Missouri as underdogs.

"I don't even think it would be an upset," Pate said on Bussin' & Pate on Campus. "I know what the point spread says. I like Missouri outright."

With both teams entering at 6-2, Saturday's game carries massive College Football Playoff ramifications.

A win could put Missouri on the map before other challenging matchups against Georgia, Kentucky, and Oklahoma to close the season. Defeating Texas would give Eli Drinkwitz's team a statement win late in the season.

Meanwhile, the Longhorns have responded to 27-24 losses to Oklahoma and Florida with wins over Ole Miss and Mississippi State. The CFP committee didn't punish them too severely for back-to-back shortcomings, but they may not withstand another loss.

Saturday's game starts at noon ET on ESPN and Disney+.
