The Texas Longhorns put an end to their two-game losing streak on Saturday with a win over Ole Miss on Saturday.
However, one NFL Hall of Famer believes that quarterback Arch Manning has some fundamental weaknesses that head coach Steve Sarkisian needs to be more aware of.
Manning had some flashes in Saturday's game, particularly looking strong in the first half of the game. But turnovers were again apart of the story for Manning, throwing two interceptions and losing a fumble in the 34-27 win.

One of Manning's interceptions was particularly concerning to legendary tight end Shannon Sharpe. In the first quarter of Saturday's game, Manning attempted to make a sideline throw to Emmett Mosley V, which was undercut by an Ole Miss defender.
While some chalked this play up to a great play from Ole Miss cornerback Jalyn Crawford, Sharpe believes that this play was another example of Manning failing to throw with anticipation and not having a good enough arm to beat the defender to the sideline.

"Sark has got to stop calling these," said Sharpe. "Arch does not have the arm strength to stand in the middle of the pocket, on the other side, and throw the deep out. He can't. First of all, he was late with it. Second of all, he should have went to the seven route in behind it. He doesn't have that kind of arm strength. Because he waited until the guy gets open. You have to throw that on anticipation. Okay, he's at 10, roll to 12, this ball is out of my hands. When he hits the ten, I'm already putting it out there."

Whether you believe Manning's arm strength is truly a weakness or not, it is certainly quite clear that the turnovers need to be cleaned up if Texas wants to beat some of the highest caliber teams in the sport.
Texas will look to keep their winning ways going in Week 9 when they host the Mississippi State Bulldogs, who have lost each of their last three games after a 4-0 start to the year.
