For people who do math, the last time was in 1949, ESPN posted.
“QB Trinidad Chambliss is now one of 3 FBS players this season with multiple games with 250 pass yards, 50 rush yards and both a passing and rushing TD,” ESPN said.
Ole Miss’ golden boy completed his day with 263 passing yards and 65 rushing yards with his three touchdowns coming in the second half of the game.
Ole Miss finished with 487 yards of total offense compared to Auburn’s 312 yards.
According to AL.com, the Rebels were able to expose Auburn’s ground game struggles.
“It was another poor rushing performance for Auburn’s offense,” AL noted. “The Tigers finished with 63 yards on the ground against Ole Miss.
“The Tigers averaged 2.1 yards per rush, with Jeremiah Cobb leading with his 35 rushing yards. (Byrum) Brown added a rushing touchdown to his final stats, but he finished with just 5 yards on the ground after sacks were accounted for.
“Ole Miss led the game with 10 tackles for loss and added five pass breakups, five quarterback hurries and two forced fumble as a defense.”
