The LSU Tigers' pursuit of quarterback Demond Williams Jr. is increasingly a reality as Washington has started looking for replacements, including hosting former Missouri quarterback Beau Pribula.
Williams announced on Tuesday that he is entering the transfer portal, though he has reportedly already signed a deal to return to Washington just days before making the move.

Amid the lack of clarity, Washington is currently hosting Pribula for a visit, while On3's Pete Nakos reports that "Washington is expected to host several QBs in the coming days."
The move to look for a new quarterback could signal that the school is preparing to lose Williams amid the upcoming legal battle.

Washington is expected to pursue legal avenues to keep the quarterback or potentially seek damages, though the viability of such measures remains unclear.
His ability to transfer, or the steps he will need to take to successfully move schools, is also up in the air, though he has plenty of interest and options for landing spots.

LSU has been the school most intensely linked to Demond Williams, and they are a reported contender to land him. The Tigers have the NIL budget to pay him handsomely and possess the motivation to do whatever it takes.
Lane Kiffin is entering his first season as the program's head coach, and he needs a quarterback to power his offense. LSU tried to sign Brendan Sorsby, but he opted for Texas Tech.
They have also hosted star transfer QB Sam Leavitt, who is slated to meet with the Tennessee Volunteers next, and he will be waiting to see what options emerge following the College Football Playoffs.
Williams has the ideal playstyle for Kiffin — a mobile quarterback who can make all of the throws needed for his system. Kiffin has his own structure, but he always gives his signal callers the freedom to improvise.
If LSU can land Williams, who has two years of eligibility left, he would become the cornerstone of Kiffin's new regime and give the coach a solid base to build on as he builds out the offense.
