LSU Tigers head coach Lane Kiffin is teaching his children some tough life lessons about money, but fortunately, his daughter has another Tiger she can lean on when needed.
Kiffin was at SEC Media Days on Thursday and told Jacob Hester and Chris Doering of SiriusXM radio that Tigers linebacker Whit Weeks has become part of his family discussions, saying that he and the defender have "had an interesting conversation" recently.
From Girlfriend's Dad to Head Coach
Weeks has dated Kiffin's daughter, Landry, since before the coach left Ole Miss and took over Weeks' team.

So when Kiffin decided to cut his kids off, it was Weeks who heard about it.
"Here's what I did, just like a month ago," Kiffin explained. "I went back and any credit card that I have on any system anywhere, I got rid of and changed, because what I found out is the kids now, they keep something. And even if you change the card, they still have in the Apple Pay, they still have it somewhere, and it updates to the new card. My kids have outsmarted me."

...
Kiffin thought he'd figured out a workaround, but he was mistaken, as his son, Knox, was secretly helping out his sisters, Presley in Los Angeles and Landry in New York City.
"Then Presley, all of the sudden, [my card] is out in LA. I see a charge or whatever. And I'm like, 'How did she get my new card?' She's like, 'Well, we have a deal not to sell each other out, but I'm not going to lie to you. Knox sent me a picture of the new card.'"
Once Kiffin realized he'd been had, he shut off the card, but not without having a talk with his star linebacker.
"So when I shut it off, I tell Whit the next day, I'm like, 'Hey, just so you know, Landry is cut off.' Because she's in New York City now, so now, it's like she needs all this money because you're in New York City. I cut her off, because she overspent the budget she was allowed, so I said, 'Hey, you're going to learn, and now you're not going to have any [money] for the next month in New York City.' She's like, 'I can't even eat. You can't do that to a kid.' So I'm like, 'Whit, you're probably going to be getting a call.' He's like, 'I heard about it all last night.'"
For his part, Weeks hasn't been fazed by Kiffin's LSU hiring.
"It hasn't affected my relationship with him at all," he told reporters at Media Days. "We go in that building and everybody in the building has the same mindset and the same goals. When you're in that building, you're there for work."
