Lane Kiffin does not have any regrets about leaving Ole Miss for LSU.

On the "Brandon Walker College Football Show," Kiffin was asked whether head coaching at LSU is living up to his expectations.

"Yeah, and even more," Kiffin said. "Unlike that Kentucky game, where every day it haunts me, the decision in that, I never thought twice about this decision. ...When you play at home here, and the stadium, and the environment, and the state, and the people, and how much support there is for football, and the kids in the state, and how they play, and how they love football.

"We're eight games in, and to see that we've played already as well as anybody have in the country at times and are a really dangerous team that we're able to do that in an offseason that we never had before."

Lane Kiffin Had a Successful Run at Ole Miss

Kiffin left Ole Miss for LSU last year while leading the Rebels to an appearance in the College Football Playoff. He did not coach the team in the playoffs, and Ole Miss went on to reach the semifinals with then-interim head coach Pete Golding, who is now the head coach.

Through eight games this year, LSU is 6-2 and 3-2 in SEC play. Both of the Tigers' losses were on the road to Kentucky and Ole Miss.

Kiffin is looking to lead LSU to the College Football Playoff for the first time since the team won the national championship in 2019. At Ole Miss, Kiffin went 55-19 and had four 10-plus-win seasons in six years.
