The Horned Frogs (4–2, 1–2 Big 12) enter Saturday’s contest looking to bounce back after a tough 41–28 loss to Kansas State last weekend. TCU showed flashes of its offensive potential early, but turnovers and defensive lapses proved costly down the stretch. Quarterback Josh Hoover threw for over 250 yards and two touchdowns in that game, but the Frogs’ defense struggled to contain the Wildcats’ ground attack.
Head coach Sonny Dykes emphasized discipline and tackling throughout the week, knowing that a loss here would make their climb in the Big 12 standings that much steeper. The Horned Frogs are averaging just over 31 points per game, but their defense has been inconsistent in conference play, allowing nearly 400 yards per contest.
Across the field, Baylor (4–2, 2–1 Big 12) arrives in Fort Worth riding momentum after two straight victories, including a 34–24 win over Kansas State. The Bears’ offense has come alive behind quarterback Sawyer Robertson, who has thrown for more than 1,500 yards this season with a growing connection to wideout Monaray Baldwin.
Head coach Dave Aranda’s defense has also taken a step forward, holding opponents to under 24 points in each of the last two games. The Bears will look to keep that balance going as they aim for a critical road win to stay in the thick of the Big 12 title chase.
This is a rivalry matchup that you won't want to miss in the early slate on Saturday; make sure to tune in and catch all the action.
