The Big Ten Conference wrapped up its final regular-season games on Sunday, with several teams playing to determine seeding in the upcoming Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament.

Heading into those Sunday games, the Michigan Wolverines had locked up their No. 1 seed in the tournament. However, Tom Izzo and rival Michigan State were visiting them for a showdown, with the Spartans playing to secure the second seed, potentially.

Unfortunately for Izzo's squad, they fell to Michigan, 90-80. In a later game, the No. 9-ranked Nebraska defeated the Iowa Hawkeyes, 84-75, in overtime, officially giving the Cornhuskers the No. 2 seed in their upcoming tournament.

Who Could Help Their NCAA Tournament Case?

As it stands, there are at least nine Big Ten teams projected to make it into the Big Dance. Ahead of the conference tournament games, ESPN's Joe Lunardi has Michigan as one of his No. 1 seeds in the NCAA Tournament with Duke, Arizona, and Florida. That seems unlikely to change.

In addition, Lunardi's Bracketology shows conference teams, including Michigan State, Nebraska, Illinois, Purdue, Ohio State, Wisconsin, UCLA, and Iowa, as expected to be in the mix on Selection Sunday.

Lunardi currently has Indiana among his first four teams out of the NCAA Tournament. However, whichever team wins the Big Ten Tournament would receive an automatic berth in the Big Dance.

Could an unlikely team, such as Indiana, or another that isn't even in the discussion, reach the bigger tournament? Fans will find out this week as the conference tournament games arrive.
