Steve Kerr said Warriors are operating under assumption Steph Curry will miss Game 2 at least. Here he is on how they’ll have to reset without him.

"We're definitely game-planning for him to not be available on Thursday, but we don't know yet," Kerr said. "With a hamstring, it's hard to imagine that he would play Thursday."

Curry finished Game 1 with 13 points in 13 minutes.

The 37-year-old guard suffered the injury after he attacked the lane and finished at the rim, but quickly reached for his leg and motioned toward the bench. As soon as the action paused, he limped off the court and made his way directly to the locker room.

Kerr also continued to say that the team did its part after learning Curry would miss the rest of the game.

"I talked to him at halftime. He's obviously crushed," Kerr said. "The guys picked him up and played a great game. And obviously we're all concerned about Steph, but it's part of the game. Guys get hurt, you move on.

Our guys did a great job of moving on and getting a great win 48 hours after a Game 7 road win. It's an amazing group of guys. They compete. They're together. They've been the best defense in the league since the Jimmy trade and that's what's keeping us afloat right now."

Golden State may have come into Game 1 as the underdog, but they certainly didn't play like one. Stealing a win on the road and flipping home-court advantage, the Warriors made a statement, yet they remain the underdogs to oddmakers.

Key performances from veterans like Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green helped set the tone, while Buddy Hield paced all scorers with 24 points. With their superstar guard sidelined, the Warriors will need another collective effort—and possibly more—if they hope to build a 2-0 series lead.
