The NBA world is eagerly awaiting LeBron James' free agency decision.

A couple weeks ago, James informed the Los Angeles Lakers that he intends to play his historic 24th NBA season elsewhere — opening up a highly-publicized free-agent process. And now with the NBA Summer League over and the NBA preseason quickly approaching, The King has still yet to make a decision.

ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania says he spoke to James' agent, Rich Paul, on Monday morning. The all-time great NBA player hasn't yet made his decision, and there's still "no timetable" for when that decision will be made public.

“There is no decision, no choice yet, no timetable on a choice as of yet,” Charania said on "NBA Today."

Charania reports the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers as the leading frontrunners to land James. The Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves have also been mentioned in various reports.

NBA commissioner Adam Silver urged James to speed up his decision making process last week, saying the league needs the decision in order to finalize its 2026-27 national TV schedule.

James will turn 42 years old in December of the upcoming NBA season. In his eighth and final season with the Lakers last year, he averaged 20.9 points, 7.2 assists and 6.1 rebounds per game.
