Taylor Swift was one of the many celebrities sitting courtside to support the New York Knicks during their NBA Finals run against the San Antonio Spurs.
However, Knicks guard Tyler Kolek viewed her support as more "performative" rather than genuine fandom of the team.
During a recent interview along with his New York teammate Miles "Deuce" McBride, Kolek was asked who he thinks is the "fakest" Knicks fan.

"At Knicks games, I would say it's very performative. Because like, they just want to be seen at the game. They're not necessarily fans," Kolek said. "Maybe Taylor Swift?"
"I would agree," McBride replied. "Swifties not gonna like that answer."
"I guess she's got a lot going on, so she can't come all the time," Kolek continued. "It's a little performative."

The Knicks released a statement defending Swift's fandom on Friday.
"Taylor Swift has been a Knicks fan for many years, has a long history with Madison Square Garden, and we are incredibly appreciative of her support of the organization," the team wrote, via TMZ.
The Knicks are 4-4 to begin the season after a slow start. On Saturday, the reigning NBA champions will face off against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
