The reigning NBA-champion New York Knicks are beginning to get their 2026-27 campaign back on track after an 0-3 start to the year, winning three of their last four games.

The Knicks notched a 103-90 win over the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night, improving their record to 3-4.

When speaking to reporters on Tuesday, head coach Mike Brown said he's actually a "little excited" about the team's struggles to open up the year.

"There's a part of me — and this could probably come off wrong — I'm a little excited that we're struggling. I want to see if we can right now figure it out," Brown said. "When you go through the offseason that we went through, where everybody celebrates you in the way that this lovely city did — you want to be shaken and brought back to earth right away when the season starts.

"It helps you refocus a little bit quicker," Brown continued. "Right now we could be winning games, but it could be false reality."
