The Cleveland Cavaliers were swept by the Golden State Warriors in the 2018 NBA Finals, beginning with an overtime loss in Game 1.
Regulation of that series-opening contest featured one of the biggest blunders in NBA Finals history.

LeBron James frantically gestured to Smith to either pass him the ball or call a timeout, resulting in an iconic NBA Finals image.
Smith was asked about this infamous moment during a recent appearance on "The Pivot" podcast.
He defended his actions, saying he was trying to get the best shot possible for James. He said he was expecting someone else to call a timeout after he secured the offensive rebound.
Smith added that James is "still mad" over this blunder.
