With the Philadelphia 76ers winning the LeBron James sweepstakes last week, everyone is talking about Philly becoming one of the top contenders in the NBA due to their upgraded starting lineup.

It now features two former NBA MVPs in LeBron James and Joel Embiid, and two former NBA Finals MVPs in Jaylen Brown and James. Add in the fact that four of the five starters have made the NBA All-Star team during their career, and the fifth, VJ Edgecombe, could in the future.

On Monday, Embiid fired off an intriguing, albeit ambiguous message regarding October and the "playoffs" which certainly got fans talking.

Joel Embiid reacts during 76ers against Celtics game

"I know you’re not real familiar with the playoffs bud but they’re in April May and June," a fan responded to Embiid's tweet.

"Idk what you need to do to stay healthy but you better do everything possible!" a commenter wrote.

"The entire season is a group project and we all know who you’ll be," another commenter said.

Others wrote, "You and playoffs in the same sentence, don’t get along," and "But please make sure you be available on floor."

Embiid has been injury-prone throughout his career and missed several games during his team's postseason due to injury concerns, but was available enough to help them defeat the Boston Celtics in a seven-game first-round series. The New York Knicks then swept the 76ers, but with the addition of James and Brown to their starting five, that may no longer be an issue.

However, it appears the nature of Embiid's message wasn't about basketball, but about baseball. The MLB playoffs are in October, and the Philadelphia Phillies (57-50) are among the teams likely to contend.

As of this writing, the Phillies are listed with the sixth-best odds to win the World Series behind the Tampa Bay Rays, Atlanta Braves, Milwaukee Brewers, New York Yankees, and Los Angeles Dodgers.

The NBA begins its regular season in October, too. So there is plenty of reason to be excited in Philly with the beginning of the LeBron James era, and the potential Phillies playoff run, which seems to have Embiid fired up.
