The New York Yankees are enjoying some strong production from a pair of new faces.
After losing Juan Soto to a historic contract from the New York Mets, the Yankees embarked on a roster overhaul, bringing in a slew of proven talent. Those additions have included Max Fried, who leads baseball with six wins so far, and Paul Goldschmidt, who is batting .351.
New reliever Devin Williams has been an unmitigated disappointment, with a 10.03 ERA after his first 11 2/3 innings with the Yankees. And then there's outfielder Cody Bellinger, who has stuck in the lineup, but might face a reckoning soon.

After arriving in the Bronx via trade from the Chicago Cubs, Bellinger has a .205/.281/.359 slash line that has seen him pushed down in the batting order. But as his disappointing Yankees debut persists, it might be time to bring in some reinforcement.

Writing for FanSided, Zach Pressnell predicted that move would come as a call up for slugging outfielder Everson Pereira by June 1.
"Yankees top prospect Everseon Pereira will force his way onto New York's roster," Pressnell wrote. "The right-handed hitter could provide a very solid platoon bat against left-handed pitchers for Aaron Boone and the Bronx Bombers."
In 74 Triple-A at-bats so far this season, Pereira is slashing .284/.357/.541 with six homers and 15 RBI. And, as Pressnell noted, his right-handed swing could offer a critical option as the Yankees look to platoon amid Bellinger's struggles.
"New York's outfield is full of left-handed bats like Trent Grisham and Cody Bellinger," Pressnell added. "Adding the top prospect to the roster would give them another righty to play beside Judge."
As the Yankees look to tweak their roster where they can in hopes of returning to the World Series, adding Pereira as a right-handed substitute for Bellinger could make a lot of sense.
