The Jazz Chisholm Jr. era is off to a flying start in New York.

The Yankees acquired Chisholm Jr. on Saturday, July 27 in a massive trade with the Miami Marlins. He debuted with the Yankees on Sunday against the Boston Red Sox, and has now appeared in four games with his new club, the latter three coming against the National League's best team, the Philadelphia Phillies. The Yankees are 4-0 in those games (and have catapulted to the top spot in Newsweek Sports' MLB power rankings).

Chisholm is 7-for-19 since putting on the pinstripes. He has an incredible four home runs and eight RBIs, and is slashing .368/.400/1.000. He's also started playing third base for the first time in his MLB career while Gleyber Torres has remained at second base.

Chisholm has instantly made an impact on this Yankees club, and one legend is taking notice.

CC Sabathia, who spent 11 years with the Yankees and made three All-Star teams and was a part of the 2009 World Series winning squad, took to social media to praise Chisholm, saying he's "built for the Bronx."

Chisholm joined New York after spending the first four-and-a-half years of his career with the Marlins. Chisholm emerged as an All-Star in Miami in 2022, and was even named MLB The Show's cover athlete for the 2023 version of the game.

The 5-foot-11 utility man is known for his big personality both on and off the field, and thus far, the big stage of New York hasn't seemed to bother him. If anything, he's embracing it.

"This is what I live for," Chisholm said after the Yankees' Tuesday win over the Phillies. "I love the lights. I love the big crowds. I love everything like that. So it's super exciting. I'm enjoying it."

Chisholm was the hero on Tuesday night. He hit a solo home run in the sixth inning to bring the Yankees within two at 4-2. Then, he hit the go-ahead three-run shot in the seventh inning, giving the Yankees a 5-4 lead. New York ended up winning 7-6 in extra innings.

Chisholm's first week with New York has not only been great, it's been historic. Chisholm is the first Yankee to hit four home runs in his first three games with the team in franchise history.

Chisholm has done all this for the Yankees during their road trip. This weekend, he'll get his first chance to shine in front of the Yankee faithful as they welcome the Toronto Blue Jays into town for a three-game set.
