The Philadelphia Phillies are on the brink of elimination after losing Game 2 of the National League Division Series to the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-3.

After going 96-66 and handily winning the NL over the New York Mets, the Phillies have struggled in their first two playoff games against the Dodgers. Philadelphia's star players have not performed well against Los Angeles, and fans expressed their frustration during Game 2, booing at the Phillies.

Phillies star Nick Castellanos commented how the environment can turn against players when they face adversity, as shared by the Philadelphia Inquirer's David Murphy.

"I think that the stadium is alive on both sides, right?" Castellanos said Monday. "When the game is going good, it's wind at our back, but when the game is not going good, it's wind in our face. The environment can be with us, and the environment can be against us.

"When everything's going good and you're rolling it's a (pain) to play here when you're an opposing team because the environment is amazing. But if we run into adversity and the tide shifts and now we're playing more tight because we don't want to be reprimanded for something bad."

Castellanos is one of Philadelphia's struggling stars this series. Through two games this postseason, the 33-year-old outfielder has one hit in six at-bats with a double and two RBIs.

Castellanos' candid statement isn't wrong as Philadelphia is known for having some of the most passionate fans across all sports, but that intensity cuts both ways. Fans may be done booing soon, however, with the Phillies' backs up against the wall in a must-win Game 3 Wednesday.
