It took extra innings as the Mets beat the Dodgers 4-3 in the first game of their series at Dodger Stadium on Monday, and New York will now look to further extend their first-place National League lead in game two.
This series might mean more to the Mets after the Dodgers knocked them out of the postseason last year in the NLCS, but in terms of the standings, it should mean just as much to Los Angeles. The Dodgers are in a tight NL West race, and currently lead the Padres by only one game.
Clayton Kershaw (0-0) takes the mound for the Dodgers and will face Tylor Megill (4-4), who gets the start for New York. Kershaw has a rough start to his 2025 campaign, giving up five runs in four innings, but has since bounced back, giving up only one run over his past two appearances.
This is a great MLB matchup that you will not want to miss; make sure to tune in and catch all the action.
