More news: Former Dodgers World Series Champion Traded to Rays
The Dodgers are in the midst of preparing for the 2026 season, where the club aims to complete the three-peat. It was previously reported in late December that Pages would not participate in the upcoming WBC; however, the outfielder chose to confirm the news himself Tuesday.
Pages played a crucial role for the Dodgers last season as one of their starting outfielders. While the Dodgers' 2025 roster was the oldest in the majors, Pages was one of the few young talents included in the lineup on a regular basis.
The young outfielder was a premier defender, ranking in the 97th percentile in outs above average among qualified fielders. Offensively, Pages put up strong numbers during the regular season as he averaged .272 with 27 home runs, 86 RBIs, and an OPS of .774. He also recorded 14 stolen bases in 2025.

More news: Dodgers’ $17 Million Free-Agent Flop Linked to White Sox
The Dodgers will have a new defensive alignment in the outfield this season as the team inked star outfielder Kyle Tucker to a four-year, $240 million deal last week.
Where Will Andy Pages Play in the Outfield After Kyle Tucker Addition?
The Dodgers' newest All-Star addition is set to play in right field while Teoscar Hernandez is expected to shift to left field. Pages, because of his elite defense and arm, is expected to be the Dodgers starting center fielder in 2026.
Pages struggled mightily at the plate in the postseason, and was even benched because of his lack of offensive production. The outfielder averaged .063 throughout the playoffs, and this could be one of the improvements he is aiming to make ahead of the 2026 campaign.
Dodgers' position players will report to Camelback Ranch in Glendale, Ariz. next month, with the first full squad workout set to be on Feb. 17. Instead of participating in the WBC, Pages will have his full attention on spring camp with the Dodgers.
