Shohei Ohtani won his third career MVP Award and World Series in his first season with the Los Angeles Dodgers. This year, he is continuing to make history.

Shohei Ohtani had the first 50-home runs, 50-steal season in the history of Major League Baseball last year. This year, he has stolen just 19 bases, but has once again hit 50 home runs. He hit his 50th home run on Tuesday night against the Philadelphia Phillies.

It is Ohtani's second 50-homer season, and the second in as many years. He joined an exclusive club of players to hit at least 50 home runs in consecutive seasons.

According to The Athletic's Fabian Ardaya, the only players to have back-to-back 50-homer seasons are Babe Ruth, who did it twice, Ken Griffey Jr., Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa and Alex Rodríguez.

Ohtani is seemingly on his way to his fourth career MVP Award. He has been sensational his entire career, but he has been on another level since joining the Dodgers.

Ohtani made his return to the mound this season as well. He has a 3.29 ERA through 13 starts. Ohtani has already established himself as one of the best players in the history of baseball, but he continues to amaze.

Aaron Judge also has the opportunity to join Ohtani in this exclusive club. Both players are trying to repeat as MVP Award winners this season. Could they meet once again in this year's World Series as well?
