The Los Angeles Dodgers will have starting pitcher Blake Snell on the mound for Game 1 of the National League Championship Series on Monday, going up against the Milwaukee Brewers on the road.

The Dodgers had three days off to reset their rotation, and they are riding their Cy Young-winning southpaw for the first game of the series. First pitch goes out around 5:08 p.m. PST at American Family Field.

Snell looks healthy since his return from the injured list, and he should be able to carry a heavy load for Los Angeles in the quest for their second consecutive World Series.

In two starts, one against the Cincinnati Reds and another against the Philadelphia Phillies, Snell has only allowed two runs through 13 innings, going deep into games to help mask the Dodgers' bullpen problems.

His stuff has been lights out, racking up 18 strikeouts, though he has been prone to giving up some walks, five in the postseason thus far.

The Dodgers need Snell to keep going deep into games, ideally avoiding walks, which have ballooned his pitch count. If he can keep up his level, Los Angeles can keep using a small bullpen and lean heavily on the most trustworthy arms.

Dodgers Reveal When Yoshinobu Yamamoto Will Start in NLCS

Additionally, the Dodgers announced Yoshinobu Yamamoto will start Game 2, allowing both of their aces to go 1-2, setting up Shohei Ohtani for Game 3 or Game 4.

The Dodgers are rolling out a four-man rotation, including Tyler Glasnow. Manager Dave Roberts said in the lead-up to the series that there would not be a bullpen game needed, banking on enough rest for the starters to push them on short rest.

“No one knows how the series is going to play out, but I do think that how we would line the starters up, we would do the best we can to get four starters and not have to take on a bullpen game," Roberts.
