The Cincinnati Reds are currently at the bottom of the NL Central, so there is a real expectation that they will be sellers at the 2026 MLB Trade Deadline.

The Reds are currently five games behind the Arizona Diamondbacks for the final wild card spot in the NL. They also have several teams ahead of them on the wrong side of the playoff line, so they should be looking to move on from some of their players this offseason.

Now, two specific Reds players have been mentioned as trade candidates to watch with the deadline almost here.

In a recent article for ESPN, Buster Olney named Eugenio Suarez and Brady Singer as two Reds players who could get traded by the deadline.

"The Reds, in the midst of a disappointing season, have seven pending free agents they could potentially move, from Brady Singer to Eugenio Suarez, and could be among the more active teams before next week's deadline," Olney wrote.

Suarez certainly has the potential to generate plenty of interest leading up to the deadline. The two-time All-Star is a very impactful power hitter when playing at his best, which is something playoff teams are always looking for. For example, just last season, he hit an impressive 49 home runs in 159 games. He has also hit at least 30 home runs six times in his 13-year career. This kind of resume should lead to teams calling.

As for Singer, he could a popular target for teams looking to improve the bottom half of their rotation. The 6-foot-5 righty has a 5-9 record and a 4.53 ERA in 20 appearances this season for the Reds, but his past success shows that he has the potential to bounce back. Because of this, it would not be too shocking if Cincinnati found a trading partner for him.
