How to Watch Golden State Valkyries vs Chicago Sky

Read More on Sports

Golden State heads into Chicago riding a surge of confidence after a hard-fought 68-67 win over the Washington Mystics. Kate Martin stepped up with 14 points, while Veronica Burton was everywhere, collecting a double-double of 10 points and 10 assists, along with seven boards. The Valkyries' defense clamped down late to seal the result.

For Chicago, it's been a season of adversity. The Sky have dropped six straight, including four home games in a row, with the defense faltering in recent outings. Their latest setback came in a 103-86 loss to Washington, where rookie sensation Angel Reese posted an impressive 22-point, 13-rebound double-double, but the team struggled to get stops as Mystics rookies Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen ran wild.

The Sky will again be short-handed—Reese, now injured, joins Ariel Atkins and Courtney Vandersloot on the sidelines. With the Sky conceding a league-high 87.7 points a game, defensive improvement is a must.
