Cincinnati improved to 4-0 in the Big 12, keeping pace with BYU, after rolling to a 48-17 win at Oklahoma State last week. The Bearcats led 28-17 entering the fourth quarter before breaking away with three touchdowns, including a 100-yard interception return by Matthew McDoom. Brendan Sorsby finished 21-of-30 for 284 yards and four touchdowns, including three to Cyrus Allen, and also ran for a score. Cincinnati’s lone loss came to Nebraska in its opener back in August.

A late rally by Baylor fell short last week in a 42-36 loss at TCU that dropped the Bears to 2-2 in conference play. Sawyer Robertson hit Kole Wilson with a 35-yard touchdown pass with 30 seconds left, and Baylor recovered an onside kick before Robertson threw an interception that thwarted the comeback. Keaton Thomas scored on a 24-yard fumble return with 3:08 remaining, while Robertson threw for 318 yards and two touchdowns but also was picked off three times.

Baylor and the Bearcats are playing for just the second time after the Bears got a 32-29 win at Cincinnati in 2023.
