Just a few days ago New Zealand's Ryan Fox emerged victorious at the Open Championship when he defeated Cameron Young by one shot with a clutch birdie on No. 18.
Following his first major victory, Fox was asked to reveal the best text he received immediately after the win. The star golfer revealed the message that stood out the most came from fellow golf star Justin Thomas, himself a two-time major champion.
"I'm paraphrasing here, and I'll get it wrong to a point, but it was basically like, remember every little detail, because you're going to want to be able to bring that out at some point," Fox said. "To be able to look back on it and think about all those good feelings. And I was like, that's pretty cool coming from a two-time major champion."

"I've had a lot of really nice messages from my peers, from other sports people around, but that one stood out for me as like, that's a real little nugget of information there that someone who's live it has imparted on to me," Fox added. "That was pretty cool."
Fox entered the Open Championship as a longshot and his previous best finish in a major tournament came at the Open Championship in 2019 when he finished in a tie for 16th place.
Now he's a major champion.
