Bryson DeChambeau had the opportunity on Thursday to respond to comments made by Brandel Chamblee this week. The two-time major champion did address the issue, but left those hoping for a frontal attack wanting more.

Chamblee said earlier this week that DeChambeau would be a “nightmare” for U.S. team captain Keegan Bradley. In his opinion, the LIV Golf star will be difficult to pair with a teammate during the Ryder Cup.

The well-known Golf Channel commentator also sparked numerous comments in the golf world by saying that part of DeChambeau's success on YouTube is due to "bots."

Naturally, many expected a heated response from DeChambeau. However, the nine-time PGA Tour winner chose to take the high road and not escalate the confrontation.

"I know I've responded jokingly to it, just a little bit ago, I think it was a couple of days ago, and I think it's great," he said during his Thursday press conference, posted to X by Flushing It.

"I think any time that people can throw stuff at me like that, I enjoy it, I appreciate it, and I think it's good for, ultimately, the game of golf, because it starts to spur conversation on," he added.

DeChambeau elaborated on what Chamblee said about his YouTube channel, which already has 2.43 million subscribers.

"Ultimately, on YouTube, you have to be verified to be able to subscribe and whatnot, so I don't think it's really that honest or true, but it is what it is," he said during the same press conference. "I mean, any time you can say something like that and create more buzz for the game of golf, it's great."

DeChambeau had already sent a mocking message on the subject. Hours after Chamblee's comments were published, the player posted a video surrounded by fans eager for his autograph, saying he didn't know what the commentator had said.

Several of his teammates, including world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and Team USA captain Keegan Bradley, have spoken throughout the week to highlight the positive impact of DeChambeau's presence on the team.
