After recently winning the WNBA 3-Point Contest, Azzi Fudd issued a challenge to Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry for a shootout, but is still waiting on his response.
"I have not heard from him, but he's a busy man," she joked in a new SI video clip just days after the event.
Fudd claimed this year's trophy, following in the footsteps of last year's winner, Sabrina Ionescu, with an impressive final round that saw her finish with 30 points. She bested runner-up Bridget Carleton of the Portland Fire to become the first-ever WNBA rookie to win the contest.

Curry is a two-time winner at the NBA 3-Point Contest, winning the event at NBA All-Star Weekend in New York City in 2015 and at the Atlanta All-Star Weekend in 2021. He also previously battled the WNBA's Ionescu in a shootout.

A contest against Curry would certainly be a big draw for WNBA All-Star Weekend, so hopefully the four-time NBA champion gets back to Fudd on her request.
The No. 1 pick for the Dallas Wings also spoke about who has given her support and congratulated her after winning the contest this past weekend in Chicago.
"Honestly, a lot of people. I've really been feeling the love. A lot of teammates, a lot of coaches, a lot of friends and family," she said regarding her win.
In her first season with the Wings, Fudd is averaging 13.2 points, 1.9 assists, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.7 steals per game. Those numbers will likely continue to improve as she emerges as a star in the WNBA.
She became a back-to-back first overall pick for the Wings, joining her former teammate, Paige Bueckers, in Dallas. That pairing was a wise one, as it draws upon their former experience playing under UConn head coach Geno Auriemma and winning a championship last year.
If the season ended today, the Wings would currently be among the playoff teams. They hold an 18-9 record, which is fourth overall in the WNBA standings, and they definitely seem capable of surprising some people in the postseason, since they have two young stars and are likely getting better with each game.
Next up, Fudd and the Wings play the Atlanta Dream on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET.
