A deaf cat strategically sleeping near the front door has captivated audiences with his cuteness.
A couple living in Denmark rescued a deaf cat named Svenn about two years ago. They noticed quickly that Svenn was very clingy, owner Jakob Lindblad told Newsweek. Svenn even started sleeping in doorways so he could notice when his owners left the rooms.
But recently, Svenn moved from sleeping in doorways to sleeping by the front door, as seen in a January 27 video posted to the TikTok account @deafbois. This sweet 4-year-old white cat was circled up in the corner with his head placed next to where the door opened.

The couple might as well rename him Gandalf from The Lord of the Rings as he's not allowing people to pass through the door. Well, not without a few loving pets and a treat or two.
Deaf animals get startled when someone approaches them as they cannot hear, but Lindblad said they don't do anything to startle Svenn. Pet parents with deaf animals typically touch their pets in the same location very gently to wake them up without startling them.
"He doesn't get scared from our movements but lets out a tiny chirping sound when he wakes up," he said. "It's very cute."
Plus, the couple was able to teach Svenn sign language. They use sign language to communicate with Svenn when to follow them and when it is dinner time. This is typical for pet parents with deaf animals. The use of hand signals, whether sign language or their own signals are great ways to communicate.
As of Tuesday, the TikTok video has over 816,000 views, 83,400 likes, and 455 comments. While some viewers couldn't handle the adorableness, others were demanding that this couple make her a comfortable sleeping spot.
"PLEASE PLEASE get him something to sit on, like his own bed please," commented a TikTok user.
Another concerned viewer added: "Put a nice pillow at least for it."
Lindblad tried putting a box down, which Svenn used. Then he tried a fluffy bed, but for some reason, Svenn thought sleeping on shoes would be more comfortable.
"Oh my gosh. Don't leave him!" said one viewer.
Lindblad responded: "Took me a while to figure he needs to be clingy to feel his best, but I love him."
