Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Harrison Bader put together an incredible season last year, splitting time with the Phillies and the Minnesota Twins. He was one of the best defenders in baseball, and his bat was well above league average, too.

Now Bader sits in free agency. He should be able to cash in on a solid contract this winter as a result, though it might not come with the Phillies.

Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter predicted the Phillies would lose Bader to the San Francisco Giants in free agency this offseason.

"The Giants are still a dark horse to make a run at Kyle Tucker or Bo Bichette, but with more pressing needs in the starting rotation, they will likely aim a bit lower if they make another addition to their lineup," Reuter wrote. "The defensive shortcomings of Jung Hoo Lee (-18 DRS, -5 OAA) and Heliot Ramos (-6 DRS, -9 OAA) make a defensive standout like Harrison Bader even more valuable as a potential target to man center field."

The Giants desperately need help in the outfield, and Bader would bring a lot of value to the team.

First of all, Bader's defense would be even more valuable in San Francisco's huge outfield. He could work to cut triples into doubles and doubles into singles. The veteran would be one of the more valuable players on the team based on his defense alone.

His bat would work well in the lineup, too.

He would also be affordable enough for the Giants to buy big on an ace in free agency. It would be the best of both worlds for San Francisco.
