A dog owner from Canada made her husky a snowman for the first time to see her reaction—what she did next left internet users in stitches.
In a viral Instagram video shared on Tuesday under the username @ontariohuskies, the 4-year-old husky, Ghost, can be seen approaching the snowman that her mom made for her in their yard, but not to play with it or even to investigate it.
Instead, the pup gets closer to the snowman’s head and then she steals its carrot nose and runs away with it, circling the entire yard as her owner follows her trying to get it back.

“I made my husky a snowman and this is what she did," reads layover text in the clip, as the post can be heard telling the pup: “No! Give me the carrot! Give me the carrot!”

The poster, Kaitlin Lombardi, told Newsweek that because it’s been snowing a lot in Ontario over the last week, and there is nothing that Ghost loves more than to romp around in the snow, she was curious to see how she'd react to seeing a snowman.
“I definitely didn't expect her to just grab the carrot nose and run off with it! She didn't pay any mind to the snowy intruder in her backyard, just grabbed his nose and in true Ghost fashion, ignored me while I chased her to give it back," she said.
“Ghost has always been our 'special' dog, she's either howling at me for dinner and snacks, or side eyeing me when I don't give her enough of either!”
While some dogs love the snow others can’t stand it, and the reason behind it is how well they are able to tolerate cold weather.
Breeds like the Siberian Husky, Bernese mountain dog, and Alaskan Malamute, which are made for this type of weather, will most likely enjoy time out in the snow, while small and shorthaired breeds like Chihuahuas will probably prefer staying warm indoor.
To keep your pup safe in the snow, invest in a warm coat and boots and always bring a towel when out in the snow to quickly dry them off if they get wet.
Always pay attention to their cues and if your pup shows signs that they’re starting to feel uncomfortable, immediately move them indoor.
The video quickly went viral on social media and it has so far received over 15,200 views and 184 comments on the platform.
One user, My.little.mochi, commented: “She’s like yup… I’ll take that! Thank you very much!”
Gigiandgiz said: “She said thanks for the snack mom.”
Erikwobst added: “Somehow I was expecting that.”
