Cat lovers will argue that there is a large personality difference between girl and boy felines, and while there is no proven research, one owner has provided an excellent example of the generalization.
A March 7 TikTok video shared by user @tigreandsage showed the night and day difference between her girl and boy cats. Orange cats have a reputation for being some of the calmest and friendliest felines, but that blueprint doesn't mean it's true for every cat.
This owner's girl orange cat is already a rarity since only about 20 percent of orange cats are female, according to Chewy. Plus, this female cat acts the exact opposite of what one would expect from an orange cat. She's energetic, daring and always up to no good.

But the owner has found a state of peace with the male cat, who is a couch potato. He is a shining example of the calm, friendly orange cat stereotype.

...
There is nothing in the house that this girl cat won't attempt to get. The owner has to baby-proof the kitchen cabinets from her nonsense. But even with the locked cabinets, the cat tries shoving her paws in there. Once they have their mind made up, there is no stopping them.
The friendly male cat can be found curled up, snoozing the day away among all the chaos. He appreciates the pets he gets from his owner. At least the owner gets to experience both possible outcomes of what it's like living with cats.
As of Wednesday, the hilarious TikTok clip reached over 7.4 million views, 1.2 million likes and 4,564 comments, as cat owners shared similar experiences.
"As a fellow girl cat mom please help I'm gonna lose it," said one viewer.
Another added: "My orange girl cat poops everywhere while the boy one greets you at the door for a hug."
But not everyone agrees. Some owners have said their cats act the opposite way. The male cats are the wrecking balls of the house while their female felines are cuddly. Others have said their cats are a combination of both personalities, proving that generalizations based on specific cat breeds, colors or genders are not always true.
