A father has shared the reality of life with a wife and daughter who are completely in sync—especially when it comes to dinner plans.

In a viral TikTok video, Dave Ippolito, 38, captured the moment his 5-year-old daughter, Ava, and his wife, Janie, 36, teamed up to let him know they weren't in the mood to cook. Since the video was posted, it has received nearly 170,000 likes. Dave spoke to Newsweek about how he never knew that he would one day have a mini version of his wife.

"No one told when I got married, I was also getting the miniature version," he captioned the video, which showed his wife and daughter scheming dinner plans.

Janie in Dave's TikTok video

...

In the video, the two inform Dave they "want to go out to eat" and request a "date" at a restaurant. Everything Janie says, Ava seems to echo. They are both in the mood for Mexican, "'cause chips and dip," Ava says.

Dave couldn't help but marvel at the situation. "Oh my god, what happened to me here?" he said.

Janie and Ava then insisted they couldn't just leave the house without showing off their outfits. And, of course, no outing is complete without a "sweet treat" after dinner.

Dave told Newsweek that this interaction was far from a one-time thing—his daughter is just like her mom.

"I meant it when I said she is her mini-me," he said. "She loves to boss me around, is stubborn, loves to go shopping, is very high maintenance and is extremely silly."

The biggest similarity? "My daughter will say, 'I don't need a man,' which is exactly what my wife says, usually immediately after she needs my help with something," Dave said.

He first started noticing the mini-me tendencies early on.

"They started around the age of two," he said. And his wife loves it.

"She completely feeds into it. The two of them walk around the house saying that they're best friends. Chances are if you ever see my wife, Ava is attached to her hip," he added.

Despite being hilariously outnumbered, Dave wouldn't change a thing. "As much as I say it drives me crazy, I fell in love with my wife for a reason, and I absolutely love and adore my daughter," he said. "She also has my wife's big heart."

'Wrapped around their pinky'

TikTok viewers couldn't get enough of the adorable family dynamic.

"It's my daughter and her dad always pushing for pizza," one person wrote. "'Mom you look tired, let's just get pizza.'"

Another could relate to Dave's situation all too well: "I've been outnumbered for 21 of my 23 years of marriage. I wouldn't have it any other way though!"

One user summed it up perfectly: "They have dad wrapped around their pinky!" they wrote.

It seems Dave's fate is sealed for now—Mexican food, sweet treats and a whole lot of girl power.
