A mom trying to enjoy a weekend sleeping in when she noticed a shadow at her bedroom door.
It belonged to her loyal red retriever, 2-year-old Sonny, who refuses to start his day without his owner and has melted hearts on the internet.
Francesca Sorrentino, from the East Midlands in England, shared a clip on TikTok of the weekly routine Sonny has developed since her baby was born.

"He waits for me to say, 'Good morning,' then he comes in for cuddles," Sorrentino told Newsweek.
On weekends, Sorrentino's partner takes their baby downstairs so she can sleep in. From her bed, a shadow of Sonny can be seen through the crack of the door.
The 27-year-old explained in the text overlay of the video that the bedroom door will slowly open all morning where her "first baby" patiently waits until she's awake to be let in.
This could go on for an hour or two and Sonny will stay put until she's up. If he hears Sorrentino move slightly, he'll nudge his nose in the door to see whether his owner is awake.
Eventually, Sonny is given the all-clear when Sorrentino says, "Good morning." The red retriever pushes the door open with his tail wagging, then jumps on the bed after receiving permission.
It's not just Sonny's patience that's remarkable, but also his natural instinct to care for his family. "He's the best dog in the world, no exaggeration. He makes me feel extremely lucky to have him," Sorrentino added.
The clip, posted to the account dedicated to the dog @sonnyshine, has received over 73,000 views and almost 6,000 comments, many commenting on Sonny's loyalty.
"I love how the first furry babies still need that one-on-one love from us," one user said.
"What a sweet, polite little angel," another added. "Dogs are just the sweetest souls," a third wrote.
Another questioned whether Sonny wanted to lie with his owner, but Sorrentino explained that it wouldn't last long. "He lasts 30 seconds in bed before grabbing a toy and dropping it on my head to play," she replied in the comments.
Even during Sorrentino's pregnancy, Sonny became more affectionate and attentive. "[He] became even more cuddly and always put his paws on my belly," she added.
