A mom from Florida turned to her sons for answers after she found her makeup spilled on the bedroom floor.
In a viral TikTok video, CJ and Luca Ivanelli, dressed as Batman and Spider-Man, managed to shift the blame with superhero-level precision. Their target? Marco the family dog.
Mom Amanda Ivanelli (@aivanelli) told Newsweek that she knew who the culprits were immediately and captioned the clip: "Are we buying this?"

"I had just cleaned it up and 'Spider-Man' [Luca] looked at the direct spot where it had spilled. If you watch the video, you can see him pointing to where the mess was, and then 'Batman' pointed somewhere else. That's how I caught him," Amanda said.
In the clip, the mom of five asked Luca directly who took her makeup out from the drawer and spilled it on the ground. Confidently and without hesitation, he responded: "Marco."
Turning to his brother, Amanda asked CJ whether what she had just heard was true. In sibling solidarity, CJ went along with the lie, trying to hide his guilt behind his superhero mask.
Despite the obvious fib, Amanda said that she couldn't keep a straight face. "[I] continued to record to see what would happened or who would tell on one another." But instead of cracking, CJ and Luca held firm. "I was low-key proud of them because that is definitely the definition of brotherhood AKA 'bro code,'" Amanda added.
Amanda's clip clocked up more than 1.7 million views and over 3,100 comments from other social-media users who were quick to defend the two little boys.
"The witness statements are consistent. Marco got some explaining to do," one wrote. "Batman was like, doesn't make sense but we will go with it," commented another. "Mam, please don't waste their time, they have to save the city," a third posted.
One user was keen to hear Marco's side of the story against these two partners in crime. "We need an interrogation with Marco," the poster added.
The people of TikTok weren't the only ones enjoying the boys' antics either: "My family absolutely loved it. It's one of their favorite videos," Amanda told Newsweek.
"Being 13 months apart, they are definitely a 'ride or die.' It's been amazing seeing them grow together," she added.
