A mom from Texas who found herself caught in the crossfire during her energetic 4-year-old son's latest scooter experiment has gone viral on TikTok.
Sofia Burnett, 36, thought she'd capture a cute "mommy and me" outfit check with her 7-month-old daughter when the calm moment was disrupted by the clatter of a scooter crash, courtesy of big brother.
In the clip, the mom of two spots her son trying out some new moves on his scooter, and what followed was a loud clang, with Burnett's phone toppling onto the ground.

The text on the clip reads: "I can't believe I captured the exact moment my daughter and I both lost hope that her brother would ever be chill."
"Despite what it may sound like, he was not actually riding the scooter into a crash cymbal like Looney Tunes but rather trying to sort of park it on top of a metal picnic table," the 36-year-old mom told Newsweek.
Burnett's son, who seems to have the boundless energy of many 4-year-olds, has a knack for turning everyday objects into adventure props. "He is a fan of stacking anything he can lift in order to watch it all come crashing down, much to everyone's delight," Burnett said.

The viral clip, ironically captioned "Mom life is the best," has racked up over 1½ million views, with many users pointing out the striking resemblance between Burnett and her daughter in the comments section.
"You guys had the exact same face," one user wrote, while another commented, "If this isn't the perfect encapsulation of motherhood."

Another commented on Burnett's calm composure after the loud clang: "The fact that you are not [fazed] is cracking me up."
The young boy's high-energy antics don't stop at scooters. Burnett said her son has enough energy "to power a small city," spending his days launching cannonballs into swimming pools, jumping forever on the trampoline and turning any surface into a drum set.
But amid the wildness, Burnett told Newsweek that her son has a tender side, especially when it comes to his little sister.
"He will quickly shift gears from chaos agent to sweet, doting protector. The fact that she had her eyes locked on him in the video is no surprise. We always say that her big brother is her favorite show," she said.
Burnett hopes that sharing moments like this online will help other parents feel less isolated in the sometimes overwhelming journey of raising young children. "It's really important that parents can connect with each other over the ups and downs of life with our wild kids," she said.
