Why It Matters
Dick reportedly has a long history of stalking Buckingham, with the prosecutor alleging that she has stalked him since late 2021.
Buckingham was the lead guitarist and co-lead vocalist of the rock band Fleetwood Mac from 1975 to 1987 and then again from 1997 to 2018. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998. Beyond Fleetwood Mac, he has released multiple solo albums. He is married and has three children.

What To Know
Dick was arrested in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on Saturday and held at the Allen County jail, records show.
She faces six felony charges and one misdemeanor charge for alleged stalking, battery and assault, Rolling Stone reported, citing a felony complaint dated Friday.
The complaint includes one felony count of making criminal threats, a felony count of assault with a deadly weapon involving a motor vehicle on March 19 and another felony count of vandalizing Buckingham's Mercedes-Benz S450 the same day.
In December 2024, following years of alleged harassment, Buckingham was granted a restraining order against Dick, which mandated that she stay at least 100 yards away from him, his wife and his son.
It was also ordered that Dick not harass or attempt to contact him in any way.
According to a report from Rolling Stone, in the petition filing, Buckingham said Dick had loitered around his and his family's homes. She called repeatedly and left threatening voicemails and taped a photo collage of her and him to his mailbox, the report said.
Court filings said Dick placed a false emergency call against Buckingham, saying she had heard gunshots inside his home. Police handcuffed Buckingham as they searched his home, he wrote, according to the outlet.
In the petition for the restraining order, Buckingham said Dick began harassing him in 2021, and that he was "afraid her conduct may escalate into something physically dangerous to me and my family," per Rolling Stone.
He has said he does not know her and is not her father.
Dick previously told KTLA: "I didn't know I had a restraining order on me. He wasn't a father to me but he's my birth father."
What Happens Next
Dick, who was arrested in Indiana, is being held pending extradition to California.
The case is under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department.
