Even Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) can't deny her love for Cardi B. The 2020 presidential candidate's staffer shared a video of her dancing to the rapper's music while preparing to give a speech on Tuesday.

Lily Adams, who serves as Harris's communications director, tweeted out a 9-second video of Harris on Tuesday dancing to a radio-friendly version of the 26-year-old rapper's smash hit with Bad Bunny and J Balvin, called "I Like It." Harris is shown all-smiles as she grooves to the song in her seat. "When we get tired of speech prep there's only one thing to do," Adams wrote in the Twitter video's caption.

Adams's video follows Harris's announcement on Monday, which was also Martin Luther King Jr. Day, to declare her plans to run for office in the 2020 presidential election. The Democratic candidate unveiled her presidential campaign with a video message, which she shared to her respective social media pages.

"Truth. Justice. Decency. Equality. Freedom. Democracy. These aren't just words. These are the values that we as Americans cherish and they're all on the line now," Harris, 54, said in the video. "The future of our country depends on you and millions of others lifting our voices to fight for our American values. That's why I'm running for president of the United States."

"I'm running to lift those voices. To bring our voices together...Let's do this together. Let's claim our future for ourselves, for our children and for our country," she concluded.

The Oakland, California, native was born to an Indian mother and a Jamaican father. As of 2016, Harris became only the second African American woman to be elected to the U.S. Senate. She's also the first African American and the first woman to work as an Attorney General for California, which is a position she held from 2011 to 2017. Her presidential run is historic as Rep. Shirley Chisholm (D-NY) first announced her bid for the presidency 47 years ago, as of this week, in 1972. Chisholm was attempting to seek the Democratic nomination to go up against current president Richard Nixon, who resigned from office in August 1974 due to the Watergate scandal.

Since announcing her run for office, Harris's campaign raised an impressive $1.5 million in donations during a 24-hour period. She's slated to host her first campaign rally on Sunday in her hometown of Oakland. She will also hold a CNN town hall hosted by Jack Tapper at Iowa's Drake University on January 28.

"The core of my campaign is the people," she shared at a press conference at Howard University on Monday. "Nobody is living their life through the lens of one issue. And I think what people want is leadership that sees them through the complexity of their lives and pays equal attention to their needs. Let's not put people in a box."
