Let's face it. This summer's movies aren't examples of Hollywood at its best. In fact, some of the season's early "hits" have been so devoid of plot, acting and even special effects that critics have had a difficult time picking out the good, or even just the "better than awful." So they've found a new focus: the actors' most featured body parts. PERI offers a glimpse at what you'll see in the theaters this summer, and our own vision of Hollywood's latest star (right):
Can she kick it, yes she can-can: "Nicole Kidman and [her] 'Moulin Rouge' costars show smiles--and in Kidman's case--a lot of leg"--The Arizona Republic. At least with a title like "Moulin Rouge," the audience knows not to expect highbrow.
Bedroom eyes: In "Captain Corelli's Mandolin," all eyes are on... Nicolas Cage's eyes. But that's hardly a good thing. "He overuses those big, soulful eyes of his and seems more like an abandoned puppy than a vital, attractive, young man." --The Mirror (London)

Lip shtik: " 'Tomb Raider' stars Angelina Jolie's lips and breasts... And, in a smaller role, the actual Angelina Jolie herself." --The Washington Post
A couple of good points: "Swordfish" boasts "cool car chases, flashy gunplay, and Halle Berry's bare breasts. What more could a guy ask of a brainless, high-octane summer movie than that?" --Tulsa World
It's awful, butt... "Angel Eyes" reviews have panned the movie, but raved about Jennifer Lopez's most famous asset--even though s he barely shows it. " 'Sixth Sense' with a little booty." --Seattle Post-Intelligencer
