Puerto Rico sends 22-year-old left-hander Eduardo Rivera, a member of the Boston Red Sox organization, to the mound on Saturday night as it comes off a 5-0 victory over Colombia on Friday night. The Puerto Ricans, held hitless through the first four innings, scored all of their runs in the fifth inning, getting RBI knocks from Eddie Rosario and Martin Maldonado, a run-scoring double from Willi Castro, and a sacrifice fly off the bat of Heliot Ramos. Right-hander Seth Lugo worked four scoreless frames to get the win.

Panama dropped a 3-1 decision to Cuba on Friday, getting its only run in the seventh inning on Johan Camargo’s RBI single. Cleveland Guardians left-hander Logan Allen surrendered three runs on five hits over three innings in the loss, and 22-year-old catcher Leonardo Bernal from the St. Louis Cardinals had a pair of hits. Right-hander Ariel Jurado, who pitched for the Texas Rangers and New York Mets from 2018-20 and played in Korea the last two seasons, gets the start on Saturday night for the Panamanians.

This is a great World Baseball Classic matchup that you will not want to miss; make sure to tune in and catch all the action.
