The injury-riddled Atlanta Hawks currently sit at 4-5 on the season, good for ninth in the Eastern Conference. However, they will be without star point guard Trae Young in tonight’s matchup against what has proven to be an excellent Los Angeles Lakers squad this season. The Hawks are coming off a 109-97 defeat at the hands of the Toronto Raptors, one in which they were led by Jalen Johnson, who had 21 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. Young guard Nickeil Alexander-Walker also had a strong game, scoring 20 points to go with three assists.

The Lakers, meanwhile, have been cruising this season, even without future first-ballot Hall-of-Fame LeBron James, who remains out with injury. The Lakers are 7-2 this season, most recently having defeated the San Antonio Spurs 118-116. In the win, Luka Doncic was spectacular, dropping 35 points, dishing out 13 assists, and securing nine rebounds. Former No. 1 pick DeAndre Ayton also had a strong game, dropping a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds.

Will the Lakers improve to 8-2 on the campaign against what will be a weakened Hawks team? Or can Atlanta pull off the upset win at home tonight?
