The internet is obsessed with how a dog bade goodnight to her cat sibling: with plenty of kisses.

Zeppoli, aka Zeppy, has become a social media star since her owner shared a now-viral video to her dedicated TikTok account, @sweetlifeofzeppoli.

In the video, described as Zeppy giving the cat "one last bedtime kith," a cat lies curled up in a bed on a shelf, dozing quietly—and Zeppy then jumps up to smother the cat in kisses.

As Zeppy repeatedly licks the cat on the face, the cat appears to simply put up with it—but when the cat hisses, Zeppy takes the hint quickly, and immediately backs down.

TikTok users loved the video, awarding it more than 123,000 likes and viewing it more than 600,000 times since it was posted on March 8.

One user pointed out how Zeppy immediately backed down once the cat gave its warning, writing: "I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU I-.... understand I have violated your personal space. thank you for telling me."

"Extra points to the dog for respecting the cat's boundaries when it hissed," another agreed, as one put it: "Can't believe this dog has a better boundary awareness than some actual human beings."

Another impressed user declared: "I've never seen a dog actually recognize and respect a cat's boundaries," adding: "What a good girl."

And one shared their own pet's story, as they admitted: "This is my pitty with my man's cat, all he wants to do is give her love and play with her and she will let him, sometimes. The other times she'll bully him and he will run away like she's a big tiger."

While cats and dogs have long been portrayed as enemies or rivals, it is possible for them to put up with each other or even become friends, depending on each animal's personality and age when they are first introduced.

When first introducing a dog and cat, it should be done slowly and patiently, holding the dog back on a leash and giving the cat a safe space to run to if needed. The dog should not be allowed to give chase to the cat, according to Purina.

If the two animals are introduced when they are both young, there is a higher chance of them getting along well, as they can grow up and become used to each others' body language together.
