A golden retriever's moment of fame quickly turned into instant regret when he realized what his modeling gig truly entailed.
Golden retriever Charlie lives in Montreal, Canada, with owner Lauren Lieberman, and recently became a model when he posed for a photo to be used by a business. Initially, Charlie was excited to go outside and see the truck, but when he saw it parked outside with his face on the side, his excitement vanished as he realized the truck was no ordinary vehicle—it was a mobile grooming van.
"I did not expect him to react like that. I think he was more scared of the van (he knows it was time to do a grooming), but nonetheless, his reaction when he looked at himself was so funny. He seemed disappointed that we chose that picture," Lieberman told Newsweek.

The video capturing Charlie's hilarious reaction has gone viral on TikTok with more than 600,000 views. The text overlay said: "POV: Your golden retriever becomes a model... and immediately regrets it..."

Charlie's expression of betrayal as he realizes his photo has been used for a grooming van has left people in stitches.
"Omg do you think he knows that's him?" asked Margo.
While Chelsearegiani said: "He did NOT sign up to be a traitor and model for the groomer—he thought he was modeling for treats."
Others could see it from Charlie's perspective, like Danny who said: "I wouldn't trust a giant van with my face on it either."
While Tori wrote: "I don't think he got final approval on that image." Viewer Johnpaul joked: "He's definitely calling his lawyer for copyright infringement."
Lieberman was delighted by the response online, where she often shares what Charlie is getting up to, from flying first class with Air Canada to Charlie demanding a pup cup from his favorite cafe despite them being closed.
"He is so funny, so I often get amazing content: he is super communicative and silly," she said. "His reactions are very human-like. The reaction on TikTok was great! People thought it was hilarious."
Charlie may not have signed off on his modeling career, but one thing is certain—his dramatic reaction to his picture on the side of the van has won over the internet.
