Is Facebook Down Right Now?

Facebook appeared to be experiencing problems Tuesday as users reported difficulty accessing the site and logging into their accounts. Outage‑tracking website Downdetector showed a spike in reports, with most complaints tied to the Facebook website rather than the mobile app. Some users said pages failed to load, while others were unable to sign in at all.

Users Hit With Account ‘Temporarily Unavailable’ Error: What We Know

Many users said they were met with messages stating their accounts were “temporarily unavailable” or “currently unavailable due to a site issue,” according to user reports and Downdetector comments. The wording mirrors error messages Facebook has displayed during past service disruptions and appears to be affecting users across multiple regions. Google search trends showed increased interest in those exact phrases as users sought to determine whether the problem was isolated or widespread. There is no indication the issue is related to individual account enforcement.

When Will Facebook Be Working Again?

There was no official timeline Tuesday for when Facebook’s reported issues would be resolved. In past outages, service has typically been restored within hours once reports peak and begin to decline. Users experiencing problems are generally advised to wait and retry rather than attempting account changes, as disruptions tied to site issues resolve on Facebook’s end.
