A video of a dog's adorable reaction to spotting her second owner who just arrived quickly went viral, gaining more than 6.8 million views.

A Yorkshire terrier was outside with her one owner, enjoying the sunshine when she was tasked with finding her other parent who just arrived. Sprinting around, Lilu searched left and right, high and low to crack the case. She paused in different areas during the March 31 TikTok video, wanting to slowly inspect each direction to confirm she did not miss a spot.

The clip posted by TikTok user @lilu.yorkie captured the moment her eyes landed on her human. She instantly lit up. Her walk quickly turned into a run with her tiny legs trying their best to keep up.

Yorkie searching for owner

The caption reads: "That's kinda how happiness feels."

"She seems to enjoy, in general, hide-and-seek types of game," owner Lolita shared with Newsweek via TikTok. "Either looking for a particular person—my partner, or close friends the ones she knows well—or objects such as some toys she knows by a name or some pieces of food.

"She looks very excited while looking and afterward enjoys the rewards."

Hide-and-seek games are beneficial for dogs as they help to engage their minds and bodies, according to Wag. Dogs will get exercise as they run around searching for their human, toy or treat.

Their mind will get moving as they use their scent skills and problem-solving to seek. Letting them use their nose is stimulating. Plus, having them follow "come to me" commands will help strengthen their recall behavior.

While the game is relatively easy for dogs to learn, owners should play it in a safe place. The last thing you would want is for your dog to get hurt or lost while off-leash. Consider it a fun indoor activity when the weather keeps you inside.

What Do Comments Say?

Although the TikTok video had brought in more than 6.8 million views and 531,400 likes, the 4,643 comments showed that viewers were divided.

"Melted my heart. Animals leave me speechless we are truly blessed to have them," a user commented.

Another pointed out: "She just needed the breeze to fluff her bangs so she could get a REALLY good look at you!!"

A third person said: "She was giving, 'If my hoomannn doesn't pop up now they gonna have chewed up everything back home.'"

Others expressed sadness for the dog, thinking the owner was teasing her. One wrote: "The anxiety that dog must've felt."

Lolita assured them she was with Lilu the entire time. When her partner arrived, Lolita asked Lilu to find her second parent.
