League of Legends has an annual tradition of releasing the most ridiculous skins on URF Day, known to those outside of the Rift as April Fools' Day. There's been Gentleman Nasus, Vel'Koz (with a moustache) and Meowkai, a tree spirit in a cat onesie. The League Twitter account has teased a whole slew of new skins set for release in early April.

Fuzz Fizz is everyone's favorite fish monster after he decided to become a dog. "Let a giant corgi jump out of the ocean to fetch a ball," someone at the Riot development team must have said. It's the right amount of ridiculous without being offensively over the top; my favorite kind. There's also a Prestige Edition version of the skin that changes his particle colors.

Pretty Kitty Rengar follows the same idea as Meowkai, taking a "grim dark" and ugly monster and throwing it into a cute pajama onesie. Do you think the Star Guardians would invite Rengar to their slumber party or do you think he would just end up mauling Soraka after hiding in a fern? These are the questions I asked myself.

What really surprised me were the next couple of skins. Corgi Corki has been a meme in League of Legends since at least 2012, when an image of a skin concept was posted to the game's subreddit. Fans have been clamoring for the yordle in a plane to throw away his rockets for something a little cuter. Turning a meme into reality is something Riot Games has been doing quite frequently over the past couple of years and it seems like the time has finally come.

...

The most awesome skin in this bundle has to be Meowrick. The undead ghoul has been outfitted in a pair of pink overalls and a kitty cat hat, turning all his ghouls into feral minions. If you haven't been a fan of League for very long, you might be confused as to why this skin got made. Nothing about Yorick really seems to be very feline. In 2013, a post on the League forums gained traction, recommending a "Cat Lady" skin. The fan image gained viral traction, with most fans vibing with his ghouls as annoying cats.

After the Yorick rework, Carlos Giffoni told Player. One that they wanted to make the Crazy Cat Lady skin but "for his first skin in a long time, we decided we should go with something more serious."

Fuzz Fizz, Pretty Kitty Rengar, Corgi Corki and Meowrick are on the PBE and will hit live servers in the next few weeks.
