Mariska Hargitay is embracing the winter weather. In a new post to Instagram on Monday, December 30, Hargitay, 60, shared a photo of herself all bundled up and standing in the snow.
While it's unclear where exactly the Law and Order: SVU star was in the picture, there was no shortage of snow and the area where she's standing seems to be deserted — save for some trees in the background. It was even snowing when the photo was captured, as the flurries surrounded her face.

"Nanook of the North 🌬️💨🌬️💨," she captioned. "I'm not in Kansas or Switzerland anymore...."
Hargitay's fans had a lot of reactions to her spending the holiday season in a snowy environment. "That feels cozy and soooooooo freezing! Hope you're having fun either skiing or building snowmen!" one user commented.
Meanwhile, others on Instagram were curious exactly where the actress was. "In yet another episode of Where In The World Is Mariska? Snow Queen are you chasing waterfalls, the Northern Lights and icy dreams in Iceland? 🇮🇸💙❄️⛄️," a fan replied.
"Are you in the land of man or a neighboring island with a fitting name?" another added.
Throughout 2024, Hargitay traveled between her gaps in filming SVU. In June, she went on vacation to Japan. Then, in July, she managed to attend the Olympics in Paris, France. On December 27, she posted that she was in Switzerland.
While still snowy, she looked a little warmer and didn't need to be as bundled up.
As for Hargitay's work on the show, SVU kicked off its 26th season in October, and fans can expect the next episode on January 16, 2025.
