Lauren Graham has revealed the paternity of her Parenthood costar Mae Whitman's baby, Miles — even though the new mom had yet to disclose the father's name herself.
On the Monday, March 10 episode of Dax Shepard's Armchair Expert podcast, the Gilmore Girls star, 57, talked openly about Whitman's new addition — even sharing the identity of his father.
"I still get a little thrill when she'll text me back because it's not a given," Graham — who costarred on Parenthood with Whitman, 36, from 2010 to 2015 — told Shepard. "And she's a mom now, and she's working."

Shepard, who has two children with wife Kristen Bell, said he wanted to meet baby Miles "so bad."
"I'm trying to think the last time [I saw her]," Graham said. "They're in New York now. Carlos, her baby daddy, is on Broadway, in Hadestown...He's really great. And so they're in New York for the next while and then she got this job in Ireland. So she's in Ireland with the baby."
While Graham didn't mention Carlos' last name, it appears as if she's referring to Carlos Valdes — Whitman's costar in the one-season Hulu series Up Here, on which they played love interests.

On March 3, Valdes told People in an interview about his role in Broadway's Hadestown, "Not a lot of people know this, but I'm a dad, a relatively new dad. And it's my personal preference that I don't share more beyond that."
Without naming the father, Whitman gushed about her newborn in an August 2024 Instagram post.
"From the moment we heard the first tiny sound out of his tiny piggy mouth we were besotted," she wrote on August 28, 2024. "He is the kindest, gentlest, smartest, funniest little beebee and he's our best friend" She tagged her and Graham's Parenthood costar Miles Heizer, whom she referred to as "Uncle Miles" — the baby's namesake.
Neither Whitman nor Valdes have commented on Graham's reveal or publicly confirmed he is Miles' father.
